DCNS unveils Le Terrible at Cherbourg
The fourth and final Le Triomphant-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN/SNLE-NG) for the French Navy was ceremonially rolled out from the Cherbourg shipyard of naval shipbuilding and systems group DCNS on 21 March. Displacing 14,300 tons submerged, Le Terrible (S619) is due for launch by the middle of 2008

Photo at this site Looks like a 640 class with a conformal sonar array.

The New Le Terrible (last of this class) in this photo almost looks like a CGI paste up (or RC model...lol). Note doors on flood drain holes to smooth flow. Are those side bow panels a new form of torpedo tube shutters? Very clean. Steve

Steve I think they are just oversize doors that cover two tubes each.
