View Full Version : Thanks to all the members!
I just want to take a moment and thank you all for making this site a hit in break neck speed!
If this how good it starts out in less than a week, well we are all in for a good time indeed.
It's very peaceful and informative here. Lets keep it that way. Save the politics and religion for other sites please and the peace will prevail.
Now get building! Merry Christmas to all and I hope you all get a sub for Christmas!

Ditto!!! 8)
I've noticed that our German and Dutch friends have not joined us and took quite of an offense to the idea of a pay site and to me. They were less than kind about it.
It's a shame.
However my good friend Gantu from Germany did join us. Gantu is truly a good friend and quite gifted when it comes to information and great pictures of models and the real thing.
I might create a forum just for him where he can post his fantastic resoucres.

Yes! A forum for Gantu. Make it happen.
It would be like sitting in a high-school Art Class and all of a sudden the substitute-teacher, Chesley Bonestell, strolls in to give a few pointers. Who would not want to stick around for that!?
David,
The man sure does love his submarines! You have spoken and so it shall be done!

Well, I guess that I make my statement that I am here and glad to be in with a good group. I think that the Germans might yet follow, and especially if we ask for their input on certain things. Glad to be abord, and in a few week I will learn to be a real builder. Time to get to work.

Hi Folks:
Happy to be among the first to register here. I think I've saved more than 5 times the registration costs in making sure I have help available when I take the plunge into "real subs" in the next few months.
It is doubtful I will be able to make constructive suggestions, but I do have a good sense of humor & can be counted on to add a funny quip from time to time.
Regards to all,
Lee Smith

Lee's being modest, he's already been a big help to me:
When I was working on my video WTC housing and found myself stonewalled for lack of a small, flexible coaxial cable, it was Lee who not only identified a source but, unsolicited, sent me a length of the stuff so I could finish the project. His knowledge of practical electronics also helped with that project. He's one of the good one's, folks!
Thanks, Lee. And, welcome aboard!

Well as I live and breathe, Dave Merriman was stumped. God help us all.
