ballast system help

does any one out there have a detailed descriptions of the bladder and piston ballast systems. new to r.c.subs and need info so i can decide which type to go with. also heard of some germans who use compressed air for ballast blowing. any info or info were i can find out about these systems would be a great help. thank you, kurt250
