None i'm afraid Pablo i've attached the only bit of text that was in the original post on the shipspotting website.

Makes for an interesting rethink on the cold war when these ships used to sail within 1/2 a mile of the RN aircraft carriers , they could easily have sunk one of them if tasked now we know about this.

The Sonar looks like the same one from the Foxtrot class SSK if i'm right too.

Another thing to notice is the lack of end caps on the bow end of the tubes. No reloads carried and they must have had to be loaded in dry dock and carried in the water so no onboard maintenance. That would make sense as to have inboard tube doors would have been a problem if they'd been inspected during the cold war.

a poster from that forum says:

    Re: "OS 57" - Peaceful Russian "Trawler&q...
It's not fighting ship, this is development vessel for tests and trials toprpedoes/sonars and other equipment.

I think that US Navy ( and many other fleets in the world) also have such ships for new equipment tests and trials.

OS = Opitnoye Sudno = Experimental Vessel

Now I know why the bow wave was so funny on the ones that ghosted us.
We had one these SOB's less then 100 yards away a few times when we were deploying.
No offense to our Russian members here but man oh man.

It's Project 1824 test ship for torpedo launch adjusting with different types of sonars. 7 were built in Rybinsk.

We had an interesting experience with a Russian Trawler once coming out of Holy Lock. They always shadowed us but this time this guy decided to do loops around us cutting in closer and closer each time. I was JA phone talker on the bridge and our CO finally got pissed. The next time the trawler put his helm over to cut across our bow starboard to port the old man ordered right rudder and headed for him. That ended the fun!
