Default Gato Class the Flying Fish 229

    Hello all,

I'm new on this Forum and I like to show you my Engel Gato Sub converted to the Fleet submarine Flying Fish 229.

    The first impression,

    Ready to paint,

    Paint job done,

Its almost finished now, because I want to put her a bit higher on the waterline

But all works well It has working retract diveplanes working Radars, periscopes and all the 4 guns can rotate.

I have more photo's off it iff you like it I will post some more.

It is a joy to seal her..

    Best regards,

    Jan,

    That's great work.

Only problem I see is this confirms I should just toss out all my glues, materials, tools and just become a spectator.<G>

    Something like this?

Just a question is it a plan to put a review of my built on this forum because I have build her already but then I am able to give you all a impression what you may encounter building a Engel kit and Pimping it to a real authentic (at least I try that) WW2 Sub.

My English will only become better then ..I hope.

    Kind regards,

    Jan.

    Look at that..!.!.!.!

A work bench I can relate to.
Absolutely anything I might need within an arms reach.
    I like it!

I really like how he has all the heavy hammers in close range...my favorite tool!

This gato really does look to be one of the best I have ever seen.

Jan did you know on this board we hold a contest every year for the best build thread with some very good prizes at the end? You should do a complete thread on some of these as I think they could be contenders easily.

I would also love to see what you could do with a type S!
