    Default Torpedo video from Japan

    We are glad to have Kanji Inoue a board this forum. Welcome Kanji!

    Here's a video he sent me that I'm sure will drive you all to add this application to your boats this year. I know I will.

    Nice touch with that stern tube! What scale was that Type VII? Looks like the doors and launch door are linked? Hope he posts some pics of his set up

    Is this your own desigh,or is this system on the market.Are the breech doors connected to the outer doors.Are the torpedos powered or air operated.
    I`m thinking about doing a larger scale boat"1/40" and I am very impressed with your system and would like to see more on it.I gave some thought to adding a torpedo system but it looks really complex to me.

    Hi Gents,
    That Type VII is not mine. Kit is from Japanese small manufacture called Hidy.

    Scale is 1/32, IIRC, and uses propel gas ballast system (main and for/aft trim tanks). Torp launching is also gas propelled.
    Detail is good - hull is too clean for my taste, though. I prefer wrinkles on my OTW Type VII (don't ask me when it's finished).

    Other features are;
    Water level sensor that automatically shuts blow valve
    Signal loss sensor (failsafe)
    Working periscopes
    Pre-cut limber holes
    Pre-soldered handrails

    You probably hate the price of Hidy kit
