    thanks for that i will set up a search on good old flea bay
    i have contacted my nearest rc club (planes 1hr drive away)
    but no joy there

    my local club is a flying club and they only have 35mhz
    could i use 35mhz or would 40mhz be better

    no i have been informed that 35 is for planes only and 40 is for all else

    UK radio usage is :-
    35mhz - aircraft only
    27mhz - Aircraft(but very seldom used), boats and submarines
    2.4Ghz - aircraft, boats and other surface stuff.
    458Mhz UHF - pretty new and can be used for submarines

    I've been told that 35Mhx will work on 40Mhx if crystals changed but have never tried it and CANNOT confirm this.

    good old e-bay i have got my receiver and transmitter 50
    it is a Futaba Skysport 4 Radio Control, 40 MHZ FM (40.765Mhz) with a Zebra 5-channel receiver.
